Shopping is now one of the most popular forms of leisure activities in many countries for young adults.

Why is this?

Do you think this is a positive or a negative development?

Reasons:

-Increased affluence

-Happiness of owning new things

-Shopping is now a pleasurable experience unlike the past (good ambience with light, music, eateries, cinemas, arcade games, kid's corner)

Positives of the Trend:

-Encourages socialization

-Reduces social evils (drugs, crimes)

-Reduces the isolation caused by technology

-Makes a vibrant city life
